Tasos Paschalis is a Computer Engineer working as technical support personnel at the School of English, Aristotle University. His duties include: technical support of the School’s computers, development and maintenance of various web pages (HTML, Javascript, ASP, WordPress, Drupal), development of databases (MS Access, MySQL) and small desktop applications (VBA). In terms of Telematics he has attended seminars on Tele-education while in the past he has worked as a programmer in a company specialized in Tele-Medicine. He currently supports videoconference needs (e-courses, e-seminars, e-symposiums, etc) in many commercial platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Skype for Business). He is also supporting the Moodle-based elearning platform of Aristotle University and the laboratories of the School of English (Phonetics Laboratory, Language Development Laboratory) where specialized equipment and software is used (Eye Tracker, Electropalatographer, Ultrasound, E-Prime, etc).
